The ThoughtFarmer SharePoint Intranet Connector adds additional functionality to connect to SharePoint content and features. The full feature set for the Connector will add the ability to:
- Link to SharePoint content: Use the ThoughtFarmer link browser to search and add links to SharePoint content.
- Embed SharePoint document libraries: Users can add SharePoint document libraries to ThoughtFarmer pages via the rich text editor.
- Search SharePoint from ThoughtFarmer: Search queries from ThoughtFarmer will execute those queries in SharePoint as well and display the results of both.
- Edit Office documents in the browser: By adding the Office 2013 Web Application integration your users can have cross-browser viewing and editing capability of Office documents in document libraries embedded within ThoughtFarmer.
Note: Using Office 2013 Web Apps requires a license for Office 2013 to be purchased for each user.

Hardware requirements for SharePoint 2013
It is highly recommended that SharePoint run on its own server infrastructure. SharePoint has large resource requirements to run just on its own. The complete set of SharePoint 2013 hardware requirements can be found in the official Microsoft documentation under SharePoint 2013 hardware and software requirements.
Required configuration changes for SharePoint search
For the SharePoint Intranet Connector to properly access SharePoint search results you need to make a configuration change to the Search Server Service. The Connector requires the metadata property SiteTitle to be available within search scopes. To enable this an Administrator will need to access the SharePoint Central Administration and perform the following:
- Navigate to Manage services on server in the System Settings section.
- Navigate to SharePoint Server Search.
- Click on the Search Service Application that handles search for the connected SharePoint instance(s).
- Click on Search Schema under the Queries and Results section in the left hand nav.
- Search for the property SiteTitle and edit it.
- Enable the check box "Searchable".
- Click OK.
- Navigate to Content Sources in the Crawling section of the left hand nav.
- Open the dropdown for the name of the data source you will be connecting to ThoughtFarmer and select Start Full Crawl.
Once the crawl is complete, Search Server will be properly configured to connect with ThoughtFarmer.
