Activity index
Activity streams present feeds of user actions so other users can stay up-to-date with what's happening on the intranet. Activity streams are found in several places including the main Activity feed on the homepage (if enabled).
In the background, ThoughtFarmer gathers user activities into a long list which is used to populate activity streams across the site. An activity index is created to help with searching of this list (similar to the index at the back of a book).
The activity index is continually updated as new activity occurs on the site. On occasion, the index can develop issues which in turn affect Activity feed function; in this circumstance you may need to rebuild the index from scratch.
One or more of the following are indicators that the activity index should be rebuilt:
To rebuild the Activity index, go to the Admin panel: Advanced section > Activity index page and click Rebuild index.
