Change following and notification settings
Default following and notification settings
Your profile will have certain default settings for receiving notifications and auto-following content when it is set up, but you can change those settings. Your default settings may vary from those listed below based on the settings your intranet admin selected for notifications on your intranet.
By default you will receive in-app notifications when certain activity occurs:
- a new subpage is added to content you follow
- content you follow is edited
- content you follow is moved, archived, restored or deleted
- you are assigned to review content
- content you are assigned to review is overdue
- content is assigned to you as required reading
- you are @mentioned
- someone comments on content you follow
- an update is shared to a group you follow
- you are added as a follower on a page
By default you will receive email notifications when certain activity occurs:
- you are assigned to review content
- content you are assigned to review is overdue
- you are @mentioned
- someone comments on content you follow
- an update is shared to a group you follow
By default you will automatically start following:
- content you add to the intranet
- content you comment on
- content you are @mentioned in
- updates or shout-outs you share
- group pages you join
Change following and notification settings
You can change your following and notification settings in your profile settings.
- Click on your name or profile photo on the App toolbar.
- In the menu that opens, click General settings.
- Under the Notifications section, select the corresponding checkboxes to receive in-app or email notifications when changes are made on content you follow (or deselect checkboxes to stop receiving notifications).
- Under the Notifications > Summaries heading, turn the toggles on to receive daily or weekly email intranet summaries, and weekly content review summaries (or turn toggles off to stop receiving summaries).
- Under the Following rules section, turn the toggles on to automatically start following content when you make changes to content or are @mentioned on content (or turn toggles off to not auto-follow content).
- Click Save at the bottom of the page.

View and modify which pages you follow
You can view a list of all of the pages that you follow on the intranet, and choose to unfollow pages if you wish.
- Click your name or profile photo on the right of the App toolbar at the top of any page.
- In the menu that opens, click General settings.
- Under the Following rules heading, click on the View content I follow link.
- You will see a paginated list of all of the pages you follow on the intranet. Click the arrows on the top right to navigate through the pages. You can filter the list in three ways:
- Enter a search query on the left, OR
- Select a Sort by order at the top, OR
- Select a Type or Date Followed filter on the left.
- To unfollow individual pages, click the flag icon to the right of the page title. If you click a flag by mistake, click it again to re-follow the page.
- To unfollow all pages, click Unfollow all on the top right. Click Unfollow in the pop-up window that appears to confirm that you want to unfollow the pages.

Another quick and easy way to get to your following and notification settings:
- While viewing a notification email, click the notification settings link at the bottom of the email.
