AI admin settings

When the AI integration is enabled, two additional toolbar items are available when users with AI permissions create or edit a page. AI Create allows users to generate content based on a prompt, such as, “create a status report template for our website relaunch project”. Users can use AI Enhance to refine their content, eg. simplify long paragraphs of text, make writing more formal or more casual, and translate paragraphs to different languages.

What happens with my data?

ThoughtFarmer's AI integration uses Anthropic's Claude 3 Haiku model through Amazon Bedrock.

With this integration, any prompt that you type into AI Assistant or any text that you select and regenerate will be sent to Amazon Bedrock for processing. Your data will not be shared with Anthropic or used to train the AI.

We recognize that some organizations have privacy concerns regarding AI. At ThoughtFarmer, AI tools will always be an opt-in solution. Please consult your data protection or privacy officer for guidance on your AI policy.

Turn AI features on

1. Go to the Admin panel: Integration section > AI page.
2. Click the on/off toggle to change it to ON.
3. Click Save.

Grant AI permissions to users

Permission to use ThoughtFarmer's AI tools to create and enhance content can be given to individual users, security groups, or all users.

1. Go to the Admin panel: Integration section > AI page.
2. In the text box under the Permissions heading, start typing the name of a user or a security group, and click on the name when it appears in the dropdown menu. Repeat to add more users.
   • If you want all users to have access to AI tools, add the group "All Registered Users".
3. Click Save.

The AI Create and AI Enhance icons will now display in the rich text editor for users who have AI permissions.

AI usage log

Admins who can view the AI admin page can review all prompts sent to the AI and responses received back. Each AI usage log entry records the user who sent the request, the date it was sent, what the request was, and the response that the AI returned.

Click View on the right of an AI request log to see the full prompt that was sent and the response that was received.
