AI Assistant logs
Once the AI Assistant is enabled and employees start using it, you can see a record of user interactions with the AI Assistant in the Log tab.
Learn from AI Assistant logs
Reviewing AI Assistant logs can help intranet teams:
- See if users find AI responses helpful or not
- Identify trends in what staff are interested in
- Get ideas for new content
- See additional topic areas that should be added to AI Assistant
- Identify areas where editing content could improve AI responses
- Identify gaps in the content sources AI Assistant can access.
View AI Assistant logs
- Go to the ThoughtFarmer Admin panel: Integrations section > AI Assistant page.
- Go to the Log tab.
- Scroll or navigate through the pages to view the AI Assistant activity logs.
Details that are displayed in the log:- Requested by: Name of the user
- Date: Date of the activity
- Topic: Topic that the user selected or All (if no topic was selected)
- Log: Initial user prompt or command
- Feedback: Basic user feedback (whether user selected thumbs up or down)
- # Requests: Number of questions the user asked.
Sort AI Assistant logs
When viewing the AI Assistant logs, click on the Requested by, Date, or Topic column headings to sort the logs by user, date or selected topic. Click on the same column heading again to reverse the sort for that column.
View AI Assistant complete interactions
When viewing the AI Assistant logs, you can view an entire interaction between a user and the AI Assistant by clicking the number in the # Requests column. This opens a Log window that displays all of the user prompts and commands and AI Assistant responses. The source material that the AI pulled information from is displayed below the AI response. The Log window also shows which user feedback was applied to which AI response and whether the user gave written feedback.
Download AI Assistant logs
When viewing the AI Assistant logs, select the checkboxes beside the AI Assistant logs that you want to download. Click the down arrow beside the checkbox in the header row to select all logs displayed on the current page, or all available logs. Click Download above the list of logs. In the Export log pop-up window, click Export, then click Download.
The Excel sheet produced includes the details visible on the AI Assistant logs screen, as well as conversation IDs, all requests and AI responses, source URLs, feedback comments, and log URLs. Each request and response are on one row of the Excel spreadsheet, with multiple rows for each request and response in a conversation grouped together. Grey highlighted rows separate logs of different conversation.
