Page editing in the mobile app
Adding and editing pages on the go is easy in the ThoughtFarmer mobile app.
If it's the first time you add or edit a page on your intranet, a tour pops up giving you a quick introduction to the different parts of the edit page interface. To see the tour again at any time, tap the Tour toggle in the top right of edit page and then tap on any of the circles to see a description of that part of the interface.
Add a page
To add a new page, navigate to the page that you want the new page to be located under, and tap +Add in the page header.
If you just want to quickly add a draft to finish later, you can tap to select the Private box at the top. Only you and intranet administrators will be able to see a page marked private.
Add a title
Tap in the Enter a title field, and type the title for your page.
Add a page header image
By default, pages will have the same page header image or gradient as their parent page. To choose a different image or gradient for the page header, tap the image icon in the top right of the page header field (around the page title). To learn more, see Add page header images.
Select content type & template
A default content type and template are selected when you add a page, but you can tap on the Content type or Template menus to change either option. To modify the individual page template or set up cards, you need to use the web version of your intranet.
Add page content
To add body content to your page, tap + Add under the Body heading.
A full screen rich text editor window opens to maximize the space you have to work on the content. Basic formatting tools are available to add headings, bold, italics, links, and numbered or bulleted lists, and remove formatting from your content. The Rich Text Editor tools are reduced to a basic set by default in the mobile app, again to allow more space for page editing. Your intranet administrator may choose to make other editing tools available on the mobile app rich text editor. To learn more, see Configure Rich Text Editor settings.
Tap Done at the bottom once you are done editing the body content.
Add links
Set your cursor where you want the link to go, and tap the link icon. Tap in the Search field and type in a search term to find the page on your intranet that you want to link to. Tap the page you want to link to, and tap Insert at the bottom.
If you want the link text to be different than the page title of the link, type the text you want first, select the text, and then tap the link icon.
If you want to link to a recently viewed intranet page, external website link, or an email address, tap the name of your intranet in the top left of the insert link screen and tap on the link type that you want. To learn more, see Insert links.
Content controls
To learn more about the other content settings available when editing a page, visit these pages:
Publish or Save
When you are done editing the page content and settings, tap Publish at the bottom to make your page live on the intranet.
Edit a page
To edit an existing page, navigate to the page you want to edit and tap Edit in the page header at the top. Once a page has existing body content, tap Edit under the Body section to make changes to the page body. Tap Save when you are done making changes to the page.
