Content engagement dashboard
The Content engagement dashboard provides insights into user's engagement with content on an organization's intranet.
Engagement: When a user interacts with content by performing one of the following actions to the content: Like, Comment, Bookmark, Download
Total engagement = Likes + Comments + Bookmarks + Downloads
Widget | Description |
Highlight* | Displays engagement counts for the selected period for Likes, Comments, Bookmarks, and Downloads, as well as comparisons with the previous period. |
Engagement over time |
Displays the number of engagements over time within the selected date period as a bar chart. Depending on the date period, each bar may represent a day, a month, or a year. Bars are divided into different colors/patterns representing the different types of engagement (Bookmarks, Comments, Likes, Downloads). Hover over each color/pattern section of a bar to see the values it represents, and click on a bar to see options to change the date period you are viewing (drill down, drill up, or reset to the original date period). |
Engagement by segments |
Display engagement by segments such as departments, teams, offices, etc. The segments that display are dependent on the segments configured on the Admin panel: Logs & statistics section > Analytics settings page. If a user belongs to multiple segments, their activity will be counted in all of those segments. Click a segment type tab to view engagement for Group membership, Security groups, or Custom profile field segments. Under the Group membership tab, you can select a Group type from the dropdown to view segments for a specific group type. |
Engagement by content type |
Displays engagement by content types such as pages, posts, forum topics, etc. If the content type selector dropdown near the top of the dashboard is set to a specific content type, this chart will only display engagement for that content type. To see engagement for all content types, select All in the content type selector dropdown. |
Top content |
In the Engagement tab, displays top content based on engagement. In the Media tab, displays top media content based on the highest number of plays. Both tabs show up to a maximum of 20 pieces of content. Click on the content name to be directed to the content. The full breadcrumb may not display because of access restrictions. This table will not display data if the selected content type is Homepages or Profiles. This table does not include deleted content. |
*These counts are dependent on the Included content types (See Glossary of analytics terms).
